If you believe October is all about the costumes and the candy, you’ve come to the right place. We’ve rounded up a list of Halloween events, from trick-or-treating to costume contests and more, happening this month in Oklahoma City and beyond, that are all about the tricks and treats.

Through Oct. 31

Haunt in Harrah at Wind Drift Orchards

18499 NE 50th St, Harrah

Features a paintball bus that travels through a haunted orchard. Travelers are armed with glow-in-the-dark paintballs. Other activities include a haunted house and carnival games. $29 & up. 7 p.m.-midnight.


Oct. 4-26

Haunt the Zoo at the Oklahoma City Zoo

2101 NE 50th St, OKC

Features themed booths displaying an array of family-friendly decorations and elaborate props, perfect for capturing photo moments and collecting treats from candy stations located along the Haunt the Zoo trail. Costumes encouraged. Adults can dress up too but nothing too scary, please. Zoo admission applies. Trick-or-treat bags, $10; members, $9. Saturday & Sunday, 9 a.m.-4 p.m.

Tombstone Tales in Enid

201 W Owen K Garriott, Enid

Features a hayride tour through the Enid Cemetery. Re-enactment characters portray historic personalities who once lived in the Enid area, telling their unique, true stories. $15. 6-8:30 p.m.

Curiousiday – Spooktacular at Sam Noble Museum

2401 Chautauqua Ave, Norman

Celebrate the spooky season with a scientific twist. Participate in hands-on activities, costume contests and even a few creepy surprises. Free with admission. 10 a.m.-4 p.m.


Oct. 16

FREE Haunt the Harn at Harn Homestead

1721 N Lincoln Blvd, OKC

Features an outdoor trick-or-treating event with old-fashioned games and crafts. Friendly costumes are encouraged. Free to attend; tickets are required for kids ages 2 & up. 6:30-8:30 p.m.


Oct. 17

FREE Outdoor Movie Series at Lions Park

405 S Flood Ave, Norman

Features an outdoor screening of Hocus Pocus. Arrive early for art activities presented by the Firehouse House Arts Center. The movie will begin at sundown.


Oct. 17-31

HallowMarine at the Oklahoma Aquarium

300 Aquarium Dr, Jenks

Features indoor trick-or-treating for kids of all ages. Guests can follow the Trick-or-Treat trail for candy and see marine life in the surrounding exhibits. Dress up in your best Halloween costume for a chance to win prizes. $19.95-$24.95. See website for schedule.


Oct. 18

Monsters in the Museum at Fred Jones Jr. Museum of Art

555 Elm Ave, Norman

Listen closely for mysterious footsteps and ghostly echoes in the galleries, shape-shift with glow-in-the-dark face painting, build your own monster in a hands-on art activity inspired by hybrid creatures from ancient lore and enjoy sweet treats along the way. Free with museum admission. Adults, $12; kids and teens (17 & under), free. 1-3 p.m.


Oct. 19

Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo Bash at Harn Homestead

1721 N Lincoln Blvd, OKC

Features a family-friendly Halloween extravaganza with trick-or-treating, games, live entertainment, arts & crafts, a photo booth and more. $$38.75; VIP, $66.50. 5-8:30 p.m.

HalloWest at National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum

1700 NE 63rd St, OKC

Features trick-or-treating, crafts, a maker space, face painting, historic re-enactors and more. Costumes are encouraged. Members, $15-$20; nonmembers,$20-$25; kids (12 & under), free. 5:30-8 p.m.


Oct. 23-30

Storybook Forest at Arcadia Lake

7200 15th St, Edmond

Features a fun, not-scary trail filled with roaming characters. Additional activities include storytime, concessions and a campfire. $12 per child; $5 per adult. 5:30-8:30 p.m.


Oct. 24

Yukon’s Mummy & Son Masquerade at Jackie Cooper Gym

1024 E Main St, Yukon

Features a fun evening of contests, spooky music, dancing and more. There will also be games and candy. Capacity is limited. $5 in advance. 6-8 p.m.

Monster Mash Halloween Dance at The Station Recreation Center

700 S Broadway Ave, Moore

Features a spooky night to enjoy with the family with a haunted room, treats and games. Costumes are encouraged. All ages welcome. $10 in advance; $15 day of. 6-8 p.m.

Halloween at Choctaw Creek Park

2001 N Harper Rd, Choctaw

Features The Haunted Hollow, with food, vendors, candy, games, contests, activities and more, and The Haunted Trails, a spine-chilling experience designed for teens and adults. Participation prices vary. 6-11 p.m.

Halloween on the Green at Will Rogers Gardens

Features themed crafts and a trick-or-treat trail with fairy tale characters. Best suited for ages 11 & under. $5. 9 a.m.-noon.

FREE Paranormal Fest at the Downtown Library

Features all things paranormal with presentations by guest experts, vendor booths, children’s programming and a movie marathon. 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

Festival of Freaks at State Fair Park – Centennial Building

Run for Your Life 5K & 1-mile Fun Run at Ruby Grant Park

Features a Zombie-filled course. Run, jump or crawl your way from zombies in an off-road 5K in the woods of Ruby Grant Park or frolic in the family-friendly 1-mile fun run. After the race, enjoy snacks and dancing under the stars. Costumes encouraged. $20-$35. 5-9 p.m.
