Features a special holiday sing-along and autograph session with Gayla Peevey singer of I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas! at the Love’s Pachyderm building where the statue of Gayla and her "Hippo Hero" is displayed.
Born in Oklahoma City, Gayla is renowned for recording this classic holiday song. Oklahoma children raised money to buy a hippopotamus for Gayla, who presented this particularly popular pachyderm to the Oklahoma City Zoo on Christmas Eve 1953.
Event activities are free with general Zoo admission.
