Description
A free Insurance and Health Fair will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 25, at the Church of the Open Arms parking lot, 3131 N. Pennsylvania Ave. The event is designed to connect people experiencing homelessness—and those at risk of it—with healthcare, insurance and essential resources that can help stabilize their future.
Attendees will have access to:
- SoonerSelect Medical and Dental insurance providers
- The OHS Bus, offering help with SNAP, TANF and other public assistance programs
- Free rapid HIV and syphilis testing
- Free dental screening and fluoride treatments
- Free vision screening
- Free haircuts
- Complimentary lunch, provided by The Loaded Bowl
Sisu is a low-barrier, identity-affirming safe space in Oklahoma City where unhoused transition-age youth find the shelter and support they need to pursue the life they want. They offer overnight emergency shelter, a drop-in resource center, case management services and transitional living programs for unhoused youth between the ages of 15-24.
