Experience the Oklahoma City National Memorial and Museum on a private tour through the personal accounts of Albert and Cindy Ashwood.

Albert was among the first on the scene with the Oklahoma Department of Emergency Management, arriving approximately 25 minutes after the explosion. He led the department’s forward operations for the first three days of the incident before turning his attention to the administration of recovery efforts. Albert was appointed Director in 1997 and retired from the department in 2018 after 30 years of service.

Albert’s wife, Cindy Ferrell Ashwood, practiced law in Chandler, Oklahoma for 25 years before becoming a judge for District 23, which includes Lincoln and Pottawatomie Counties. Cindy’s sister, Susan Ferrell, was a lawyer for the Department of Housing and Urban Development in the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building. She was one of the 168 individuals killed in the Oklahoma City bombing.
