Come meet the local author of the Children of the Ancient Heroes series, Russ Fellows.  Russ is hosting this event as a fundraiser for Micah Community, a day center for the unhoused neighbors in NW OKC. The event is free, including book character face paint, live music, story reading, and snacks. The 2-book bundle is $25 and Russ will autograph and take a photo with the reader. You can also enter a raffle to win a book basket of great books donated by other authors. Donations accepted, book sale and raffle proceeds will benefit Micah.

Children of the Ancient Heroes by Russell J. Fellows is a middle-grade fantasy series that begins with Dreams and Nightmares, following siblings Tirza and Eli as they are transported from their world into a magical realm called the Lighted Lands after discovering a forbidden book. The series is known for its rich world-building, themes of courage, faith, and family, and is compared to The Chronicles of Narnia, with a focus on hope and adventure suitable for read-alouds.  The Children of the Ancient Heroes series is captivating with relatable heroes and themes of sacrifice, faith, and courage. In a realm where darkness threatens, light always fights back. For ages 8-13 (and all of us who love magical stories with heart).
