Description
Join members of Amnesty International in writing letters and signing Christmas cards to prisoners on death row and filling out urgent action petitions. A presentation by author Corinna Barrett Lain, author of "Secrets of the Killing State" will also take place. At 6:30 p.m., KOSU reporter Sierra Pfeifer will interview Lain about her revelatory new book about lethal injection in America. "Secrets of the Killing State" pulls back the curtain on the death penalty and how it is administered, revealing ghastly details that state governments have sought to hide.
Following remarks, there will be an audience Q&A and book signing. Event presented by the ACLU of Oklahoma and Amnesty International.
