Description
Through solving open-ended problems, students develop creative-thinking skills that can be applied to real-life situations. Each year, tens of thousands of students take part in Odyssey of the Mind, the original STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) education program established in 1978. Schools and organizations form teams of five to seven students in the fall. The students work developing a solution to their selected long-term problem, which varies from building mechanical devices such as spring-driven vehicles to engineering weight-bearing balsa wood structures to giving their own interpretation of literary classics.
Edmond Odyssey of the Mind is looking for creative, smart, entertaining people to participate. We currently have teams forming for students from 3rd through 12th grade. This year marks the return of OM to Edmond thanks to the Kiwanis Club. If you are interested in joining/forming an Odyssey of the Mind team we are excited to share information with you.
