Toddlers and preschoolers are full of wonder and energy! To help you occupy their active young minds, we’ve rounded up our top five fun events and things to do with toddlers and preschoolers in the OKC metro. From special storytimes to celebrations and more, you’ll have plenty of exciting ways to keep the youngest in the family busy all month long.

This list is generously sponsored by the Metropolitan Library System. At each of the 19 libraries, you will find a variety of educational and early literacy programs and resources including educational computer games, story times, play times, online resources and more curated for the youngest, inquisitive minds to encourage literacy at each stage in your child’s life.

March 6

FREE Crafty Friday at Myriad Gardens

301 W Reno Ave, OKC

Stop in to enjoy fun and easy crafts for kids on the first and third Fridays from September to May. 10-11 a.m.


March 7

FREE Severe Weather Awareness Expo at Penn Square Mall

1901 NW Expressway, OKC

This interactive and informational event helps Oklahoma City residents gain valuable advice for preparing their homes, families and pets for potential disasters. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about severe weather safety and visit with local experts and industry professionals. 11 a.m.-2 p.m.


March 16-20

Spring Break Escape at Sam Noble Museum

2401 Chautauqua Avenue, Norman

Join for special daily events at the museum! Learn with “Storytime & Specimens,” make a craft or even “Meet a Scientist” during your visit. All activities are included free with museum admission. 10a.m.-4 p.m.


March 18-21

Spring Break Drop-In Art at OKCMOA

415 Couch Dr, OKC

Participate in come-and-go art activities daily. Activities include: layered cellophane collages., masking tape paintings, chalk pastel drawings and more. 11 a.m.-4 p.m.


March 28

MetroFamily’s Kids Fest at Rose State Student Union

1910 Hudiburg Drive, Midwest City

Kids Play, Parents Plan! Come see us for the ultimate family fun event! From bounce houses and petting zoos to local resources and BIG prizes – it’s the perfect mix of entertainment and family resources! Adults and kids under age 2 get in FREE; kids 2 and older are $5 in advance or $8 at the door. Plus, those who pre-register will get a FREE child’s pass to the Blue Zoo (worth $16.95!) for every paid ticket! 10 a.m.-2:30 p.m.
